Snowden

It isn’t difficult to argue that the time that Diana Seysses (Snowden) spends in Morey-St-Denis in some way goes to explain the Snowden style of Cabernet. These have a sense of place but they are not the blockbusters that some produce in Napa and they often appeal more to a European palate than to the domestic market. There is an undeniable elegance to these wines. Aside from wine making the other vital factor is the hillside of this St Helena property. The steepness of the slopes would not ripen the grapes to the level of those on the valley floor.
