Winemaker Jesse Katz may be a relatively young gun, yet he mastered his art over 15 harvests at the world’s leading wineries, including Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, Viña Cobos in Mendoza, and Screaming Eagle in Napa Valley. In 2009, he founded Aperture Cellars with the goal of achieving the exceptional levels of quality and refinement he experienced at these legendary Estates. With a string of fantastic reviews behind him already, his reputation as one of Sonoma’s top dogs is well and truly cemented.
