San Lorenzo `The Pearl` Alexander Valley 2019

The San Lorenzo vineyard was purchased by Pete Seghesio's grandfather in 1896, with ten gold coins he had earned working as a cook for the gold mines. It is one of the most iconic vineyards in California, located alongside the Russian River, spanning both the Russian River Valley and Alexander Valley appellations. The blend is a result of the century old field blend of which 69% is Zinfandel, 15% Petite Sirah, 5% Carignan and 10% mixed field blend. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, 30% new, for 16 months.
