Bien Nacido Pinot Noir 2012

The grapes were harvested on 8/12 and 8/16 22.6 brix. The grapes underwent a five-day cold-soak with 1-3 punch downs by hand daily. Once dry, the wine was pressed and put into French oak barrels (15% new) where it stayed for 15 months before being racked and bottled unfiltered in February 2018.

A light garnet color, this wine is full of earthy freshness, forest floor and pine needle on the nose. This is a classic representation of Bien Nacido, with hints of white pepper, and hard spice on the palate. A delectate entry on the palate, with red fruit and dried herbs, round out a smooth, refreshing finish.
