Big Basin Vineyards

Located on the steep hillsides of the Santa Cruz mountains, Big Basin vineyards was established in 2002, with the mission to restore an ancient vineyard planted 100 years before. Having employed sustainable and organic farming since day one, they have rescued the previously poor and eroded soil, planting vines 1,300 feet above sea level . They craft wines that speak of these ocean influenced, mountain vineyards; the steep terrain, the cooling breezes and fog, and the harmony between vine and soil.
